London, 12 February 2026. PastWipe Ltd today announced RepSec-Q™, which extends RepSec™, the protocol technology behind PastWipe's post-breach data control, toward post-quantum resilience.

Why post-quantum resilience
Advances in quantum computing are expected to put pressure on some encryption methods in use today. A commonly discussed risk is "harvest now, decrypt later": encrypted data is stolen now and kept until it can be decrypted. Organisations are starting to adopt post-quantum cryptography, but encryption alone does not address data that has already been exfiltrated or duplicated.
RepSec-Q is designed to keep the policy, validation and evidence controls in RepSec dependable as cryptographic standards change.
